Chantry Christmas Concert Pictures
by Peg Phelps
Mother Nature cooperated long enough for the Chantry students to perform their annual Christmas concert. It was held on Monday, Dec. 21 - the day before Winter break.
A full house braved the cold weather and snow to enjoy the students' hard work.
The Kindergarten, First and Second graders entertained the crowd with" A Rainbow Christmas". The black and white creatures of the forest wouldn't let any colorful creatures attend their Christmas celebration. When Santa (Chris) appears, they are confused because their Santa would be black and white - like them. It takes some strong convincing but finally all agreed that a colorful celebration would be more fun. The students did a great job!
The four year olds came dressed in pajamas to help with the reading of 'A Night Before Christmas' read by Mrs. Paul (who also dressed in her pajamas!). The students played rhythm instruments at appropriate times in the story - and sang a few favorite Christmas carols. They were very entertaining!
Finally it was time for "Jingle All the Way" performed by the 3rd and 4th graders. We had a marvelous time with the music and dance steps that this show provided. They did an absolutely fantastic job! The audience even got to participate to help Santa (Colton) get back his jingle.
Thanks again for your support of the Chantry music program! See you in the spring!
